History and Growth. Key Milestones

Every large company has its landmarks — the moments when the usual order of things shifts and new possibilities open up. BAGO family has had a good many of them. The journey runs from a single trade show to a presence in 21 countries. Along the way, every decision was driven not by short-term gain but by the wish to create products that make everyday life more comfortable, more mindful, and more fragrant.

This article does more than list dates. It shows what lies behind each one, and how a small family project became an international ecosystem.

2007–2015: From the First Step to the First Collections

It all began in 2007, when the team took its first step onto the international stage by taking part in a trade show abroad. That was more than an appearance; it was a statement of intent. In 2008 came the first contracts with retail chains, and in 2009 the first orders from major international companies. The dream was taking real shape.

The key moment arrived in 2011, when the project got its name: BAGO home. The name is a touching, family one — it is how the founder's little daughter Margo pronounced her own name, turning “Margo” into a warm “Bago.” The team believed this brand would become part of the home of everyone who values quality, comfort, and atmosphere.

The years that followed were spent gathering experience and searching for the perfect sound. 2015 brought the Watercolor and Swallows collections, produced at the factory in England.

2016–2019: Our Own Manufacturing and Recognition From the Experts

2016 was the turning point in the whole BAGO home story. The company made a decision that changed everything: to open its own factory in Russia. This was not just moving production — it was a step up to a new level of quality control and technological independence. The same year saw the birth of the legendary Originals collection and of the fragrance that became the brand's calling card, Fresh Cotton.

2017 was a year of magic and inspiration: the Magic Diffuser project was born, the New Year collection launched, and with it came the Marula fragrance.

But the real wave of recognition arrived in 2018. Amazon's Choice status for the New Year diffusers and for Siberian Pine in the United Kingdom, Germany, and the USA — automatic recognition from the algorithms of the world's largest marketplace. And the Mosaic collection was named Choice of the Year by InStyle magazine.

2019 brought another step toward sustainability: the launch of production for sachets based on natural mineral powder.

2020–2022: A Perfume Oscar and Million-Unit Runs

2020 was the high point of international recognition. BAGO home received the international FiFi Award — the “Oscar of perfumery” — for the best collection of New Year fragrances. The same year, the first million BAGO home products were sold, and the Home Detox, Mai Tai, Precious Stones, and updated Swallow collections were released for the collection's fifth anniversary.

It was the moment when one thing became obvious: quality of life means far more than a fragrance in the living room. In 2021 the company launched production of eco-friendly soy wax candles and released two New Year collections — Winter Wonderland and The One and Only New Year.

2022 brought the Natura and Neoclassic collections — nature and elegance, brought together.

2023–2026: From One Brand to an Ecosystem

By 2023 BAGO home had sold around 5 million products, was present in 20 countries, and was stocked in more than 3,000 stores. But the defining event of this period was the formation of the BAGO family ecosystem.

An idea that started with a single product grew into a whole family of brands, each with a role of its own. Today the ecosystem brings together five independent directions.

  • BAGO home — home fragrances that create an atmosphere.
  • ETERIA COSMO — natural body care for mindful care rituals.
  • NATONIQ — sugar-free lemonades made from natural juices, and functional beverages.
  • AROMATONIX — on-trend fragrances that bring fashion and accessible luxury into the home.
  • Abel — the lifestyle brand that widens the portfolio and adds personality.

In 2025 the NATONIQ brand was registered, and Abel completed a full rebrand, launching the exclusive Simple Pleasures collection in the Lemana PRO chain.

Lessons in Growth: What This Story Teaches

Looking back at this journey, a few lessons stand out — and they matter beyond business, for each of us.

Lesson one: quality demands independence. The decision to build our own factory in 2016 is the foundation the entire ecosystem rests on today. Control over every stage of production is not just a business matter; it is a responsibility to everyone who chooses your product.

Lesson two: recognition comes to those who are not afraid to be different. The trade show in 2007, the bold collections, the collaborations with the Tretyakov Gallery and with the TV series “Unprincipled” — together they shaped the distinctive signature that is recognized today in 21 countries.

Lesson three: growth is not about widening the range for its own sake. It is about meeting people's real needs. The move from one brand to five happened organically, not artificially — in answer to what the audience asked for. Today it is a full ecosystem where everyone finds exactly what they need: comfort at home, care rituals, energy for life.

BAGO family continues along that path today, true to its mission: to help people feel better every day. Because a life well lived is not a destination but an endless process, made of small but mindful steps.
